The Five Weirdest Things Ever Stolen from Hotels

Five of the Weirdest or Strangest Things Ever Stolen from HotelsYou cannot imagine what you are about to read!

Hotel guests have stolen the weirdest things we could ever imagine!

This is a true fact and according to research, a surprising percentage of people have lifted an item or two from a hotel in the past.

Adult-oriented toys to stuffed animals. Televisions and bed linen have also been taken from hotels this year. Proving that even bathroom towels are not only the easy target by hotel guests.

Here is a list of the weirdest things ever stolen:

1.  A Grand Piano
A former general manager of Starwood Hotel Group had their piano stolen by three people. The underhanded trio wheeled the grand piano right out of the hotel lobby!

2.  Television Set
A hotel manager said while looking over a video surveillance footage, he saw a guest walk past the busy receptionist, carrying the heavy television set, but no one spotted him!

3.  Curtains
At Travelodge, televisions and hairdryers are often targeted, but curtains? Yes! Curtains! A survey by one of the popular hotel chain found that thousands of Britons have stolen sections of carpet, mirrors, and even curtains!

4.  Room Numbers
At the Franklin Hotel in Knightsbridge, one guest decided to filch the number from their door as he considered it a “lucky number”.

5.  Everything

Finally, and perhaps this is the strangest incident that occurred, a couple staying at the Holiday Inn who specifically requested a room near the car park, had whipped out the entire contents of their room (bed, furniture, the lot) into their U-Haul. Yes, everything! That includes forks, knifes, plates, tables, closets, stuffed bear, towels, television and so on!

A poll carried out by London’s telegraph, 37% of survey participants admitted that they had taken something out of their hotel room before! Welcome to the world of wonders, where there is something amazing happening everyday! Our recommendation is to relax and enjoy your travels. Although there are undoubtedly tales of hotel theft at all corners of the globe, taking items from a hotel is not only inadvisable, but it is also against the law!
